The Low Initiatives are a sequence of group problem-solving activities, requiring communication, teamwork and creative thinking. Each activity is followed up by a time of discussion on what happened, what was learned and life application. We emphasize a strong commitment on both physical and emotional safety for the participants.

Depending on the number of participants, and what the goals for you group include, the program will be tailor-made for you. Your teambuilding experience may be a half-day, full-day or 2-3 day program. Some groups choose to incorporate teambuilding into other programming. Others use the course as the central focus. For longer programs, additional camp activities are available. Covenant Hills offers housing and a complete food service. Cost is determined by the length of your program and the number of participants.

Challenge Course with Christian Based GroupsWhether you call it "adventure-based programming", "experiential education", "confidence course" or "challenge course", the teambuilding, confidence challenging program can make an incredible impact on someone's life. There are dozens of organizations who run a Challenge Course program, but few are teaching it from a Christian perspective. Yet the most influential impact Challenge Course programs can have are when Christian life-principles are incorporated into the experience. Our staff all work from a Christian world view. When we work with Christian based groups, we incorporate scriptural principles and life-application into the experience.
Challenge Course with Public Schools

Challenge Course and Teambuilding activities are used around the country to build team spirit, understanding, and develop self-esteem. One of the areas we find the Covenant Hills program used for is in the area of peer helper or mediator programs. While Covenant Hills does not teach the curriculum for these programs, we lay the groundwork through building trust and addressing group issues with students. We have several groups that use our program on an annual basis for this purpose. When we work with public schools, we respect the issue of the separation of church and state. In other words, we do not attempt to proselytize or push our Christian faith onto students. If a student raises an issue of faith we will of course answer accordingly, but we will not turn it into a "preaching" moment.
